About Dr. Salmassy
Dr. Salmassy is a Recognized Leader in Dental Implants, the All-on-4 Procedure, and Sedation Dentistry.
Dr. Salmassy is a native of northern California, born and raised in the bay area. He completed his undergraduate studies with honors at Carroll College in Helena, Montana receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree with minors in mathematics and chemistry. He attended the University of California at Davis Medical School where he completed research in molecular genetics for his honors thesis.
He married his college sweetheart before entering dental school at Oregon Health Sciences University. There he achieved the unique degree of Doctor Medical Dentistry. He achieved high honors in academics and was honored with the prestigious award for Clinical Excellence in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Salmassy returned to California where he completed his surgical residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of California at San Francisco. During his training, he also completed a year medical training in General Surgery and training in Anesthesiology.
Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons perform a variety of surgical procedures in order to correct facial injuries, defects, and diseases involving the head, face, neck, jaws, and tissues of the oral region, and are highly-qualified and expertly-trained in complicated exodontia, basic implant cases, and complex implant cases requiring bone grafts and bone-block grafts. He also received training in facial plastic surgery. Dr. Salmassy also completed research in tumor resection and reconstruction and is a published author in the field.
During his clinical practice in both the bay area and the Sierra foothills, Dr. Salmassy got extensively involved with the clinical leading company in implant dentistry, Nobel Biocare. There he became a leader in the field of Computer Guided Implant Surgery and served as a clinical training instructor lecturing both nationally and internationally while publishing articles on immediate implant placement, such as the “All on Four” advanced implant cases.
He practices exclusively in Auburn, California and is part of the medical staff of Sutter Auburn Faith hospital.
